a.) Daum is a renowned French crystal artwork company. They exist since 1878. They have made more car models in crystal, but only a few limited editions like the ES30 !!!

The Alfa Romeo Series from Daum consists of 3 regular production models( the 164, the 155 and the 33 ) and one limited edition custom production model, the ES-30.
All the Alfa Romeos are smaller (1:20 scale) cars that were shipped in bright red boxes.

Those models often came with a signed certificate and they were never available for retail purchase.

A very sought after model by not only Alfa Romeo SZ and RZ owners but also by the global group of DAUM collectors. This and the fact that it was a very limited edition result in high asking prices if such model will be for sale ever !

The Alfa Romeo SZ is the only Limited Edition Alfa in the group. The SZ was a serialized edition of 300 cars.

They had the text: "Daum France" with the number xxx/300. ( 23-06-2022 >>> highest known number is 216/300 )

Although it is known that a small number of non-serialized cars have been produced. ( which were given to some special employees of the Daum factory ).

They had only the text: "Daum France" ......

......Or no text or numbers at all.

There may also be minor differences in shape and weight between these hand-produced models.

This DAUM SZ is the only Alfa that was not designed by Xavier Froissart, and it is believed that a generic Daum designer actually designed this car.

These cars were given away by Alfa Romeo to dealers, journalists, VIP's, to good customers, and also by Daum to reward special employees.

b.) Also beautiful models are the ones made by Top Marques in the scale 1:18.

They decided to make limited series, starting with the SZ: the normal red/grey SZ, the black SZ, some SZ's completely red and a Trophy racer.
Than 3 colours RZ, yellow, red and some white ones

c.) 2 very special 1:24 kits from "Scale Kraft", wich have been professionally built in The Netherlands.

"Scale Kraft" was located in South Africa and made resin kits and transkits of, well, mostly old european race cars, prototypes and one-offs.

The story:

A Belgium architect ( Guido Fiew ) living in South Africa swapped profession and he only produced some very special hand built car model kits in the scale 1:24. He used original factory drawings from - our - cars to make tiny moulds to have all the resin parts needed to build that kits to a complete model. I helped him to get the detailing right with many pics etc. About 20 years ago only 10 of our SZ registermembers and 3 RZ registermembers could get one of these models.
